Back App
Terms of use
Plain-language terms for using Back. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.
What Back is
Back is a self-help app with quiet tools for anxiety, panic, or overload. It is not therapy, not a diagnosis, not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional care. It does not create or read Apple Health Records and does not use HealthKit.
Not for emergencies
Back is not an emergency service. If you think you may need urgent medical help, contact your local emergency service. Extra support in the app can show a public emergency number and open your phone app; Back does not place calls or messages for you.
Your use
Use Back for personal, lawful purposes. Do not try to reverse engineer the app, abuse support channels, or use Back in a way that harms others or interferes with the service.
Your content on the device
Information you save in Back (such as a support contact or preferences) stays on your device as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you store and for who can access your phone.
Back Plus subscriptions
Back Plus is a subscription that includes access to the six core tools and related content in the app. The annual plan may include a 7-day free trial for eligible subscribers through the App Store or Google Play. After the trial, or if you choose a monthly plan, an active subscription is required to use Breathe, Distract, Ground, Move, Listen and Read. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. See Subscriptions for an overview. Emergency information, Extra Support and Call my person remain available without a subscription.
Availability and changes
We may update Back or these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
No warranty
Back is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that it will meet every need, work without interruption, or produce a particular outcome. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Back.
Apple
Back is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. These terms are between you and the app provider, not Apple.
